Winning Proposals

On this page the winning proposals will be published from time to time. The proposals submitted will be evaluated and selected for mention and / or awards by the Unican.org staff and the three members of the academic advisory board.

Weekly

unican.org staff will select on a weekly basis the best proposal for each age category

the youth category             - ages 14-18
the young adult category     - ages 18-30
the adult category              - ages 30 and above

Monthly

Unican.org academic advisory panel will select each month the best proposal in each age category. (the same age brackets as above for the weekly process)

All the proposals submitted in the specific month will be considered, so the staff selection on the weekly basis will not influence  the independent panel members. This will ensure that any internal staff opinion will not prevent a proposal to become a monthly winner after being selected by the outside panel.

Yearly

Unican.org academic advisory panel will select from the monthly winners the best  annual winning proposal in each age category. (the same age brackets as above for the monthly process)

The winners in each category will be invited to present their proposals at the Annual Awards Ceremony in Ottawa. The academic panel will also select proposals which are awarded a special mention for their original thinking. While not winning an award, these proposals will  be brought to the attention of the participants at the Awards Ceremony. Each province will receive a provincial special mention for the best proposal from the province.
